Pre 17 Road Safety Foundation Course
The Motivator road safety foundation course is a pre driver course designed to reduce the overall cost of learning to drive. Our tuition is a great way to ensure that the fundamentals of driving and driver safety have been understood by the student before they even step into a car. The benefits of this are clear:
- It is safer
- Equipped with a better understanding of road safety and basic vehicle operation the student will be more relaxed and less prone to mistakes during their on road training.
- It’s more cost effective.
- With a more relaxed and confident learner in the car our instructors can deliver the training required to pass the test in a more efficient manner. This of course results in less lessons and less cost to the pupil.
Our foundation course is structured as follows:
The two hours of tuition are focussed on Stage One of learning to drive:
- The controls of the car
- The safety aspects of these controls
- Moving off and Stopping – This is done in car but off road
- Elementary driving safety issues
This two hour course is charged at £50. However you can claim this back when you pass the driving test with Motivator!
A further in-class tuition session of two hours covers:
- Briefing on the basic elements of manoeuvres
- Junctions Major to Minor
- Emerging at junctions
- Handling roundabouts
- Meeting, crossing and overtaking other vehicles
- Anticipation
The cost of the second 2 hour session is £22
For either course we kindly ask that booking and payment is arranged at least five working days before the scheduled class. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit card.
